POSITION OVERVIEW
The Group Accountant manages accounting and financial reporting across multiple countries. This role handles month-end close, intercompany transactions, financial consolidation, and compliance. Working closely with country finance teams, the accountant ensures consistent standards and supports audits and financial controls.
WHERE: Ivory Coast ONSITE, or Worldwide remote.
Your Impact Zone
* Oversee group-level accounting operations across all countries (SL, GN, LB, Gambia, etc.)
* Manage month-end close activities including review of bank activity and reconciliations
* Prepare internal and external financial reports for leadership and partners
* Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliation
* Maintain and monitor group receivables and payables
* Manage the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
* Support the consolidation of financials and preparation of management reports
* Assist with statutory compliance, audit readiness, and financial documentation
* Liaise with country-level finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting standards
* Support the development of financial policies and controls
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
* Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure elimination entries are accurate
* Assist with the preparation of group-level financial statements and consolidation
* Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation and compliance
* Ensure adherence to group financial policies, IFRS, and local standards
Your Toolkit for the Role
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferred
* 5+ years experience in accounting, auditing, or finance, ideally with multi-country exposure
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and month-end close
* Skilled in intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset management
* Proficient in accounting software and Excel
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving ability
* Experience supporting audits and ensuring compliance
