Technical Director

Location: Morocco

Key Responsibilities

Lead grid connection and interconnection activities for renewable energy projects.

Assess grid capacity, connection options, and technical constraints impacting project development.

Support project siting, capacity sizing, and technical design decisions.

Coordinate and review grid connection studies, power system studies, and technical due diligence reports.

Manage external engineering consultants and technical advisors.

Support negotiation of technical requirements related to grid connection and network access.

Monitor relevant regulatory and technical developments within the power sector.

Identify technical risks and provide recommendations to project development teams.

Build and maintain technical knowledge related to transmission networks and renewable energy integration.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

10+ years of experience in the power, utilities, or renewable energy sector.

Experience supporting solar, wind, energy storage, or other power generation projects.

Previous experience with grid connection studies, interconnection processes, or transmission planning is highly desirable.

Experience working for developers, utilities, engineering consultancies, or IPPs is preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of power systems and transmission networks.

Familiarity with load flow analysis, grid impact assessments, and power system studies.

Ability to review and challenge technical studies produced by external consultants.

Understanding of grid integration challenges for renewable energy projects.

Languages

Fluent French and English required.

Arabic is an advantage.
