The Forvis Mazars team is seeking Financial Audit Officers to perform procedures and testing on multiple audit engagements.


ROLE AND POSITION

* Reporting directly to the Service Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Actively participating in the management of a team of over 50 people,
* Carrying out audit procedures in accordance with our audit methodology and the instructions received from the audit teams,
* Monitor the progress of engagements and work on a daily basis,
* Coach, train and develop the service centre team,
* Supervise and review the work carried out by the service centre team on a series of audit assignments in order to validate that the deliverables and work meet the quality requirements,
* Be a very good team player, rigorous and pay meticulous attention to detail,
* Maintain regular and productive dialogue with the Director, the audit teams and the Service Centre team,
* Demonstrate dedication and resilience to meet deadlines and deliver requested work on time.


REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS NEEDED

We seek proactive, dedicated and highly organised individuals who are enthusiastic and willing to learn and share their knowledge with others. The skills required are as follows:

* At least 3 years' experience in financial audit,
* A solid academic background and a good command of English (written and spoken) are essential. Proficiency in French, German or Dutch is a major asset,
* Proven experience in performing audit procedures on different cycles and aggregates of financial statements,
* Very good communication, management and interpersonal skills,
* Experience in supervising several auditors and teams in parallel,
* Advanced knowledge of the main accounting standards, in particular IFRS, and of financial reporting issues. Knowledge of French and UK accounting standards would be an advantage but is not essential,
* Good technical skills and experience in the application of International Standards on Auditing (ISA),
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise several requests at the same time,
* An open mind to innovation and a strong appetite for implementing new processes and digital solutions,
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Forms).
