Finance Manager (CPA, ACCA, CA) Job role based in Mauritania

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Mauritania to oversee internal controls, financial reporting, budgeting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

* Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial compliance.
* Ensure adherence to accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), tax laws, and financial regulations.
* Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor variances and recommend corrective actions.
* Provide accurate, timely financial analysis and reports to support executive decision-making.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and insights.
* Oversee tax reporting and statutory filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
* Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvements in financial workflows and systems.
* Collaborate with IT and other departments on the implementation of accounting software enhancements.
* Support financial due diligence efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
* Manage ad-hoc financial tasks and special projects as directed by senior leadership.

Who we’re looking for:

* Must have a bachelor’s, higher degree in Finance ,Accounting, or related Field or CA.
* Must have 10 years of professional accounting experience with 5+ years of managerial role.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP/IFRS standards, and corporate tax compliance.
* Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; ability to lead system improvements.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.
* Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
