Key Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in Moroccan taxation, financial analysis, and cashflow management to support our operations in the wind turbine inland transport industry. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in advising on tax structuring, ensuring timely invoicing and debt collection, tracking project costs, and acting as a key communication link between the Morocco operations and the head office.

Tax Advisory and Compliance

Advise on tax structuring strategies to optimize compliance and cost efficiency for transport operations.

Ensure adherence to Moroccan tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and transportation-related taxes.

Monitor changes in tax laws and proactively adjust company practices to remain compliant.

Assist with tax audits and liaise with Moroccan tax authorities when necessary.

Accounting and Financial Analysis

Track and analyze project costs, including transport logistics and subcontractor expenses.

Prepare and present detailed financial reports for budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis.

Maintain accurate accounting records related to operations and tax compliance.

Provide insights into project financial performance to the head office.

Invoicing and Cashflow Management

Develop a thorough understanding of client payment processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

Issue invoices to clients on time and track payment schedules.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely debt collection to support project cashflow.

Analyze cashflow trends and recommend improvements to strengthen financial health.

Communication and Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact between the Morocco operations team and the head office for financial, tax, and cashflow matters.

Clearly communicate updates regarding invoicing, payments, and financial performance to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with subcontractors to align on invoicing and payment processes.

Operational and Strategic Support

Support financial planning for inland transport projects, focusing on cost optimization and cashflow management.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improving operational efficiency.

Oversee cost tracking and financial reporting for wind turbine transport projects, including specialized logistics solutions.

Administrative support and HR support

Provide administrative support for project scheduling, internal reporting, and task follow-ups.

Assist the HR team at headquarters with local HR activities, including but not limited to sourcing and maintaining recruitment channels, coordinating interviews, and assisting with new hire onboarding and visa documentation.

Manage office administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining templates, and handling general correspondence.

Liaise with service providers and vendors regarding basic office requirements.

Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.

Other tasks assigned by superiors.


Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of Moroccan tax regulations and payment processes, particularly in the transport and logistics sector.

Experience with financial analysis, cost tracking, invoicing, and debt collection.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage cashflow and ensure timely invoicing.

Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with local and international teams.

Fluency in English and Arabic.

Experience in the transport or renewable energy industry is highly desirable.
