Role Overview:

Mission:

As part of calibration and integration activities, the job holder is responsible for carrying out tests and defining calibrations for the engine aftertreatment system or subsystem (DOC, DPF, SCR, etc.) in order to meet regulatory and customer requirements within the defined timeframe. Their responsibilities cover a technical scope or service, and a simple project (or a simple subsystem).

Activities:

1. Perform physical or numerical testing and develop the system/subsystem:

* Plan, prepare, and conduct physical or numerical tests to develop validation resources within their area(s) of expertise
* Perform tests
* Assess the relevance and quality of tests
* Post-process test data
* Analyze results by comparing them with the underlying physical phenomena
* Define optimal calibrations within their technical/service scope to support cross-functional trade-offs
* Detect malfunctions affecting calibration

2. Communicate on activities:

* Write reports justifying calibration development
* Report any difficulties encountered during activities
* Communicate achievements and progress to the project team

3. Provide feedback on best practices and propose improvements to standards

4. Ensure the robustness of the proposed calibration, including under extreme operating conditions (including real-world validation during test campaigns)

5. Optimize the use of available test facilities

6. Integrate potential impacts from other specialties on your deliverables

7. Meet deadlines for assigned tasks

8. Manage deviations with suppliers

Responsibilities:

* Organize and manage test execution to optimize responsiveness while meeting project schedule requirements
* Apply company standards, processes, and methodologies
* Use available company tools
* Propose optimal trade-offs for control function calibration
* Ensure calibration robustness to guarantee project quality
* Perform performance assessments within their technical scope
* Identify improvements in processes and methodologies related to their activities
* Comply with document management rules

Working Relationships:

* Communicate and formalize calibration decisions with the calibration team leader
* Share and negotiate cross-functional trade-offs with peers
* Validate proposed methodological changes with the company’s technical authority
* Lead test planning activities with testing teams
* Share control strategy or function improvement proposals with designers
* Report progress to team management

Profile:

Engineer (general engineering degree or Master’s in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent) with theoretical knowledge in at least one of the following technical areas:

Thermal, Powertrain Architecture, Embedded Systems Calibration, Test Facilities Management, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Functional Simulation

Candidate Criteria:

* Minimum required experience: 0 to 2 years
* Languages: Proficiency in French and technical English (minimum B2 level)
