Role Overview:
The 2D Wiring Harness Expert is responsible for ensuring and validating the electrical definition of wiring harnesses, including the design and verification of 2D electrical schematics, while consistently meeting high standards of quality, performance, and cost efficiency across projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and validate 2D wiring harness drawings using CHS tools
* Ensure proper integration within Electrical & Electronic (EE) architectures and vehicle/equipment systems
* Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with project requirements and engineering standards
* Apply strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring harness architecture
* Definition of wiring harness complexity
* Perform root cause analysis for reported issues and implement corrective actions
* Optimize wire cross-sections and ensure overall design robustness
* Collaborate closely with 3D design teams and connectivity engineers
* Lead 3D/2D harness consistency, ensuring alignment between 3D models, 2D schematics, and electrical definitions
* Manage and provide technical support to suppliers, including validation of proposals and solutions
* Ensure compliance with QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) targets
* Coordinate technical exchanges with harness manufacturers and follow up on progress
* Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery
* Contribute to the improvement of engineering standards and development of best practices
* Track project progress and provide regular reporting
Technical Skills
* Solid knowledge of Electrical & Electronics systems
* Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
* Ability to manage complex technical environments
* Advanced expertise in 2D schematics, drawings, BOMs, and supplier consultation packages
* Strong knowledge of wiring harness components (connectors, protections, electrical standards)
* Proficiency in PLM environments
* Strong expertise using CHS tools
* Experience in supplier management and engineering change processes (ECR/ECO)
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills
* Strong analytical mindset and organizational skills

* Strong communication skills with internal teams and external partners

Required Profile
* Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering
* Minimum 6 years of professional experience in automotive wiring harness development
