Our client, is an end-to-end transactional marketplace that radically simplifies the experience of buying, selling and renting real estate. They are looking for a Deputy COO to help scale and structure our Marketplace operations. Acting as a strategic partner to the COO, you will play a critical role in aligning operational priorities, driving execution, and coordinating cross-functional efforts. This is a hybrid role combining strategic thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on project ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the operational organization of the Marketplace and strengthen team efficiency
* Structure roadmaps with the COO and ensure their rollout on time and in line with defined objectives
* Lead cross-functional projects with significant operational or business impac
* Coordinate between the Marketplace and other Business Units to ensure a consistent and seamless customer journey
* Translate business needs into clear, actionable items for Product, Tech, Data, and Marketing teams
* Produce performance analyses, identify optimization levers, and support strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
* 6–10 years of experience in top-tier consulting, scale-ups, or strategic/ops roles
* Background in marketplaces, proptech, fintech, or B2C/B2B2C scale-ups
* Knowledge of customer operations and cross-BU journey optimization
* Familiarity with the Moroccan or broader North African business landscape
* High adaptability and appetite for fast-growth, execution-focused environments
* Strong analytical and structuring skills; proven ability to drive complex initiatives
* Experience managing cross-team projects in fast-paced or ambiguous environments
* Excellent communication skills; you can align stakeholders and move things forward
* Fluency with operational tools
* Full working proficiency in French and English
