Role Description

We are offering a remote internship for a Football Data Science Intern.

As part of our team, you will contribute to cutting-edge football analytics projects that drive recruitment, performance analysis, and strategic planning for football clubs and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collecting and managing football data from multiple sources, including APIs and web scraping
* Developing a tagging system for structured data collection during matches
* Conducting in-depth data analysis to uncover actionable football insights
* Building statistical models and applying machine learning techniques
* Producing clear reports and data visualizations to present findings

Qualifications

✅ Proficiency in Python for data analysis and web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Scrapy)

✅ Strong knowledge of SQL and database management

✅ Experience with data cleaning, feature engineering, and model building

✅ Ability to design and implement tagging systems for football event data

✅ Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning

✅ Passion for football and sports analytics

✅ Strong communication skills, especially in explaining technical insights to non-technical stakeholders

✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently enrolled) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

✅ Experience in football data analytics is a plus
