Job Summary:


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in the shortsea container shipping. This role is responsible for managing customer bookings, coordinating service delivery, organising inland transportation, liaising with operations teams, handling documentation, invoicing, and responding to client inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and experience in logistics or maritime transport.


Key Responsibilities:


* Booking & Order Management
* Receive and process container shipping bookings from customers via email, phone, or online platforms.
* Verify booking details and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
* Confirm bookings and provide customers with shipping schedules and instructions.

Inland Transportation Coordination

* Organise and schedule inland container transport (pre-carriage and on-carriage) with trucking partners
* Monitor transport execution and ensure timely pickup and delivery of containers.
* Communicate transport status and resolve any issues or delays with customers and carriers.

Service Coordination

* Monitor the progress of shipments and ensure timely execution of services.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., vessel operations) to ensure smooth handling of each booking.
* Proactively communicate any delays, changes, or issues to customers.

Operations Interaction

* Liaise the operation team to ensure container movements are executed as planned.
* Follow up on container availability, loading/unloading status, and vessel schedules.
* Escalate operational issues and support resolution in a timely manner.

Invoicing & Documentation

* Prepare and issue invoices based on completed shipments and agreed tariffs.
* Ensure accuracy of billing and resolve any discrepancies with customers or internal teams.
* Maintain proper records of all transactions and communications.

Customer Support

* Respond to customer inquiries regarding bookings, shipment status, documentation, and billing.
* Provide professional and timely support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Maintain strong relationships with key clients and support account management efforts.


Qualifications:


* Proven experience in customer service, preferably in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
* Strong understanding of container shipping processes, inland transport, customs and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
* Proficient in MS Office
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Team player with a problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
* Fluency in French is required; proficiency in English is necessary.
