As an officer of the CMS hub in Casablanca, your responsibilities will be :
• Ensure the performance of the activity, particularly regarding, the quality of the analysis, volumes and any backlogs on alerts and escalate to Casa manager any outliers.
• Provide feedback on potential risks detected during the daily production.
• Maintain and monitor the actions / recommendations resulting from the control activity, ensure that these actions are managed satisfactorily and on time.
• Collaborate with the global team to identify areas for improvement of the control system
• Assist the Casa Manager on requests from investigations and audits, internal or external, and ensure the processing of deliverables, including audit recommendations on a timely manner
• Ensure the representation of Casablanca within the CMS cross regions Teams
• Ensure surveillance of trade activities conducted through Société Générale on major European capital markets using the firm’s monitoring tools
• Support the implementation and enhancement of surveillance approaches and /or strategic solutions to meet review requirements.
• Ensure timely and high-quality processing of potential market abuse alerts.
• Ensure follow-up of key identified issues and assist in remedial and resolution thereof
• Liaise with other EMEA CMS surveillance team members, advisory Compliance officers and other key stakeholders and build synergies regarding key topics.
• Support the collation and development of Management Information.
• Ensure the team maintain up to date CMS policies and procedures in line with regulatory changes (EU / FCA)
• Stay aware of financial and global news impacting capital markets and financial instruments.
Profil :
Technical experience :
0 – 6 years relevant experience or qualifications
• Fluent in French and English
• Previous experience on Market Surveillance
• Mastery of SMART Broker Trade surveillance tool is a strong advantage
• Understanding of Market abuse Regulation (MAR) is a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of Fixed income and/or Derivatives products
• A generalist understanding of how private and public sides of the Financial Industry operate would be advantageous
• Highly analytical approach regarding performed surveillance, supported by accurate record keeping and ability to manage and prioritize multiple review requirements.
• Respect for highly sensitive information
• Mastering programming languages (Python, VBA, SQL, etc.) would be a plus
• Good report writing, verbal and presentation skills
• Excellente communication and leadership skill
