Role Overview:
Main Mission
Within defined development programs, the Calibration Synthesis Engineer is responsible for consolidating, ensuring consistency, and technically steering calibrations delivered by the various contributing teams and partners, in order to achieve a series freeze compliant with performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
He/She acts as a cross-functional technical reference during the integration and validation phases of the powertrain system and its subsystems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate calibration activities across all contributing engineering domains.
* Ensure integration, consistency, and maturity of calibrations prior to validation and series freeze.
* Facilitate calibration synthesis and series freeze review meetings.
* Identify, analyze, and arbitrate trade-offs between system performances (performance, fuel consumption, drivability, emissions, reliability).
* Ensure traceability, distribution, and compliance of calibration versions.
* Define and monitor the availability planning of test facilities (vehicles, test benches, engines, components).
* Contribute to commissioning and validation activities of test facilities.
* Provide regular reporting on technical progress and key issues.
* Animate and federate the calibration community (internal teams and external partners).
* Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and quality rules during calibration and validation activities.
Profile
Education
Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, control systems, embedded systems, or equivalent.
Experience
* Minimum 1 year of experience in powertrain calibration or development activities.
* System integration and validation.
* Cross-functional technical coordination or leadership.
