Position Overview
The Business Researcher – NA French Speaking Hub is responsible for supporting the delivery of business information, credit risk, and company research assignments, with a strong focus on French-language outreach, desktop research, and validation of company information.
This role is suited to professionals who are strong communicators, confident researchers, and able to gather, verify, and document information in a clear and structured manner. The position supports research activity across Morocco, French Speaking African and North African countries and other markets in line with departmental priorities.
The role favours candidates with high communication skills, research capability, professional judgment, and ability to engage effectively with subject entities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Research & Information Verification
• Conduct desktop research to collect and validate business, operational, and corporate information from public and internal sources.
• Perform company profiling, website reviews, activity checks, and verification of business presence.
• Review registry information, ownership data, management details, and other available corporate records.
• Identify inconsistencies, information gaps, and reliability limitations, and clearly document them.
2. Local-Language Outreach & Information Collection
• Conduct outreach to subject entities and relevant contacts mainly in French and Arabic where required.
• Professionally communicate with companies to confirm operational details, business activity, contact information, and other relevant data points.
• Record findings accurately and reflect them clearly in internal systems and final report outputs.
• Escalate sensitive, conflicting, or unclear responses appropriately.
3. Report Preparation & Research Support
• Support the preparation of clear, structured, and evidence-based reports.
• Ensure all information included is supported by reliable sources and documented appropriately.
• Apply internal research methodologies, validation rules, and reporting standards.
• Contribute to the delivery of reports within required turnaround times and quality expectations.
4. Productivity, Quality & Team Contribution
• Maintain strong daily productivity while preserving report quality and source discipline.
• Apply feedback from Team Leaders, Senior Research Leads, and Quality reviewers to improve output.
• Support onboarding, coaching, and knowledge sharing where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in research methods, source use, and workflow efficiency.
5. Compliance & Professional Conduct
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with internal procedures, ethical standards, and data protection requirements.
• Handle corporate and personal data responsibly and in line with company expectations.
• Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professional conduct in all internal and external communications.
Required Skills
• Fluency in French, English and Arabic is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong internet research and information-gathering capability.
• Good judgment in assessing and documenting information reliability.
• Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with external parties.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within deadlines and follow structured processes.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and standard business tools is an advantage.
Experience & Education
• Experience in one or more of the following is considered relevant:
business research, client servicing, customer support, outreach, call centre/B2B communication, collections, account coordination, recruitment sourcing, interviewing, media research, banking support, due diligence support, or similar roles involving structured information gathering and professional communication.
• Direct exposure to credit risk, business information, financial analysis, or competitor environments is an advantage, but not mandatory for all levels.
• A university degree is preferred. Relevant practical experience, communication capability, and research aptitude may be considered more important for this role.
