Bilingual Vendor Pre-Qualification & Appointment Representative (French)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual French Vendor Pre-Qualification & Appointment Representative to support our growing Business-to-Government (B2G) initiatives across Canada.

In this role, you will engage with French-speaking vendors to qualify, educate, and guide them through the vendor onboarding and pre-qualification process. You will assess vendor eligibility, collect required documentation, schedule appointments when needed, and ensure vendors meet internal and government compliance requirements.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, confidence in conducting phone conversations, and the ability to build trust with prospective vendors while maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact French-speaking vendors via phone and email to introduce partnership opportunities and explain the pre-qualification process.

  • Conduct vendor pre-qualification interviews to assess capabilities, eligibility, and compliance requirements.

  • Schedule appointments and follow-up meetings with qualified vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Collect, verify, and organize vendor documentation required for onboarding and government funding opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and update vendor status throughout the qualification process.

  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Vendor Management teams.

  • Follow structured outreach processes while maintaining a professional and consultative communication style.

  • Monitor vendor pipelines and ensure timely follow-ups with prospective vendors.

  • Escalate complex compliance or eligibility questions to the appropriate internal teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Native or near-native fluency in French (spoken and written)

  • Professional working proficiency in English

  • 2+ years of experience in appointment setting, customer service, vendor relations, business development, procurement support, or inside sales

  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills

  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities

  • Experience using CRM platforms and managing multiple workflows simultaneously

  • Comfortable making outbound calls and following structured outreach processes

  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote work environment

Preferred

  • Experience with vendor onboarding or vendor management

  • Knowledge of Canadian or U.S. government procurement, vendor registration, or compliance processes

  • Experience supporting Business-to-Government (B2G) or Business-to-Business (B2B) initiatives

  • Familiarity with vendor management platforms such as Sweetspot, Merx, or similar procurement tools

  • Background in procurement, compliance, government contracting, or public sector services

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field is an asset.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in vendor qualification, appointment setting, procurement support, business development, or customer-facing roles.

  • Experience working with government-funded projects or vendor ecosystems is considered a strong advantage.
