Your Role

As a High-Voltage (HV) Safety Engineer within Scalian in Casablanca, you will play a key role in our clients projects, primarily in the automotive sector. You will be responsible for assessing and ensuring the safety of high-voltage (HV) systems for electric vehicles, focusing on components like electric powertrains and batteries, in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

Your Missions

* Conduct safety assessments and risk analysis of HV systems (electric powertrain, batteries, ...)
* Evaluate HV architecture to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
* Ensure compliance with relevant automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 6469, IEC 61851, ISO 21498, etc.) for high-voltage systems
* Provide guidance on international and regional regulations regarding electric vehicle safety
* Implement design improvements and best practices to mitigate risks related to electrical arcs, shorts, thermal runaway, and other high-voltage hazards
* Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams
* Capability to improve team members expertise in high-voltage safety topics

Required Experience & Skills

* Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
* Technical Skills: Expertise with High-voltage safety standards and automotive regulations: SAE J2464, SAE J2344, IEC 60664, ISO 6469, R100...
* Strong experience with HV system, electrical powertrains and associated components
* Certifications: High-voltage safety certification required
* Experience working in fast paced environment
* Soft Skills: A good sense of autonomy and initiative will be necessary
* Strong problem-solving skills for High Voltage topics
* Excellent communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration
* Collaborative mindset and ability to share knowledge

Language Skills

* English (mandatory)
* German (desirable)
