Role Overview:

Mission

As an Audio Development Lead, you will lead the development of automotive audio components (speakers, microphones, and amplifiers) through the operational leadership of a team of engineers responsible for design activities (DREs – Design Release Engineers). You will act as the main technical interface between engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring that all audio systems achieve Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance (QCTP) targets in alignment with Stellantis project milestones

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Technical Direction

  • Lead and mentor a team of DREs, fostering technical excellence throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Provide strategic technical guidance and conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure the seamless convergence of all audio subsystems.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary audio representative for the project, ensuring alignment across internal departments and external suppliers.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve technical challenges and maintain project momentum.

Planning, Milestones & Reporting

  • Manage development timelines in strict adherence to Stellantis milestones.

  • Track project health by maintaining comprehensive development plans and providing transparent reporting on progress, risks, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Quality, Cost & Performance (QCTP) Management

  • Ensure targets are met by proactively monitoring Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance (QCTP) metrics.

  • Drive risk mitigation by identifying deviations early and implementing effective corrective actions.

Technical Oversight & Validation

  • Guarantee technical consistency across all components and oversee the execution of validation plans and testing activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion operational excellence by leading escalation resolution, facilitating 'lessons learned' sessions, and driving long-term cost optimization initiatives.

Profile & Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac+5).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within an industrial or automotive environment.

Technical Skills: Deep expertise in automotive audio systems and robust knowledge of product development processes.

Soft Skills: Proven ability in leadership, high-level communication, complex problem-solving, and cross-functional project coordination.

Languages: Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
