Accountant - Morocco

Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Accountant. This position will be located in Rabat.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the Company’s financial and business operation in the assigned subsidiary. This position performs work at a professional level and requires a high degree of collaboration, trust and judgment in problem solving and decision making along with finding practical and effective solutions and systems to mitigate risks.

ORGANIZATIONAL FIT:

The position reports to the Regional Financial Manager and works closely with other members of the Regional EMEA Team as well as closely with managers and employees throughout the organization.

Office Setting. Travel To Other Regions May Be Required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

* Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards including full accounts receivable and account payables functions (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.).
* Responsible to process all payments and receipts (both on ERP system as well as bank account).
* Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.). For example, fixed assets and inventory.
* Prepare accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting).
* Close out month end within Global timelines stipulated.
* Prepare and submit all tax filings.
* Comply with local and global policies and regulations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING:

* Typically requires a Diploma in Accounting and 3+ years experience in finance type role, preferably in a manufacturing, agricultural, or food processing industry.
* Accounting Specialist that is able to file taxes in Morocco.
* Solid knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to provide detailed reporting using Excel spreadsheets. Experience using an ERP system (Netsuite will be an advantage).
* Fully bilingual (English & French).
* Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; problem-prevention & problem-solving skills.
* Strong analytical skills & attention to detail.
