The Role
As a warehouse shift supervisor, you will ensure that operations are planned, guided and the processes are managed in accordance with the legal legislations and occupational health and technical safety arrangements in order to achieve the financial, internal and external customer targets for the shift under your responsibility.
Job Description:
- Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities
- Fulfilling the duty of Warehouse Inventory Processes
- Fulfilling the duty of E-Commerce Warehouse Operations Processes
- Handle with Assorted/ Unsorted Product Addressing, Collection, and Scanning
- Fulfilling the duty of with Carton Boxed Product Acceptance, Addressing and Collection
- Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations
- Carrying out the studies of Improving/Developing/Simplifying Warehouse Operations
- Fulfilling the duty of Product Allocation
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
- Hires and trains new warehouse employees.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Language Skills
- Fluent English (written & verbal)
Professional Expertise
- At least 5 years of related experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years blue collar supervisory experience is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge about WMS Program is preferred.
- Should be able work in shifts;
- Preferably have knowledge about Lean manufacturing process, 5S and Kaizen;
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
