About Us

Our client is a global manufacturer and distributor of architectural aluminum systems, employing tens of thousands of people worldwide. Our building systems division specializes in the design and distribution of aluminum facades, windows, doors, railings, and sliding systems, and holds a leading market position across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Their portfolio is built on well-established, internationally recognized brands and a long-standing commitment to sustainable, low-carbon aluminum solutions.

Job Overview

The Technical Engineer provides engineering support for architectural aluminum systems — windows, doors, curtain walls, and façades — ensuring correct system specification, technical compliance, and high-quality project support for customers and internal teams across North Africa.

This role delivers technical expertise for our aluminum systems portfolio, supporting project specifications, system adaptations, and customer-facing technical guidance. It requires strong engineering skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with sales, R&D, production, and external stakeholders such as fabricators, architects, and consultants.

You will ensure systems are correctly specified, adapted, and implemented in Tunisia or Morocco, while maintaining alignment with global standards and local regulations — a market that calls for engineers equally comfortable working in French and English with regional fabrication and design partners.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & System Expertise

  • System design support — provide technical assistance for aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls, façades, and project-specific adaptations.

  • Project specification review — review drawings and technical submittals, and ensure compliance with company standards and local building codes.

  • Prepare technical documentation, installation guidelines, and system details for customers and internal teams.

Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Act as the technical point of contact for fabricators, architects, consultants, and contractors.

  • Support sales teams with technical input during bidding, proposals, and project acquisition.

  • Provide timely responses to technical inquiries and documentation requests.

Engineering Calculations & Tools

  • Perform structural and thermal calculations (wind load, deflection, U-values, etc.).

  • Prepare accurate take-offs and assist in quotation preparation when required.

  • Maintain and update BIM libraries, CAD details, and technical manuals.

Product Localization & Quality

  • Coordinate with R&D on product testing, certification, and system localization for North African markets.

  • Support quality control and fabrication guidance for key projects.

  • Ensure system designs meet safety, performance, and sustainability requirements.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Conduct product trainings, workshops, and technical presentations for clients and internal teams.

  • Support implementation of design tools and digital technical resources.

Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports and updates as required by the Technical Director or General Manager.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in technical roles within façade engineering, aluminum systems, or architectural building materials.

  • Hands-on experience with windows, doors, curtain walls, and structural glazing systems.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of design standards, thermal and structural performance, and system integration.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and calculation tools (wind load, thermal analysis).

  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and prepare detailed technical documentation.

Languages

  • Full professional fluency in both French and English — required, non-negotiable. Both languages are used daily with clients, fabricators, and international teams across Tunisia and Morocco.

  • Arabic or another local language is a strong advantage.

Competencies

  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with international teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured working approach.

What We Offer

  • A key technical role within a globally respected architectural aluminum systems organization.

  • Opportunity to work on major architectural projects across North Africa.

  • Access to international expertise, tools, and training.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.

  • Continuous learning and development within a global organization.
