Key Description

Oracle is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Software Development to build, lead, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team in Morocco. The team will deliver strategic capabilities across artificial intelligence, application infrastructure, UI frameworks, and AI development tooling.

This leader will have primary responsibility for hiring, people management, technical leadership, coaching, organizational development, and operational excellence for Morocco-based engineers. Team members will work in a matrixed model, with delivery alignment to domain leaders responsible for products and solutions such as Nitro AI Development Framework, AI Fabric, and AI Agent Studio.

The successful candidate will combine strong full-stack engineering knowledge with excellent people leadership, delivery management, and cross-organizational collaboration. They must be comfortable operating in a rapidly evolving environment, balancing competing priorities, and turning emerging AI technologies into secure, reliable, and usable engineering platforms and services.

This role is particularly suited to a leader who enjoys building both organizations and technology: someone who can develop exceptional engineers while helping Oracle transform software delivery through AI-first and agentic engineering.

Job Responsibilities

People and Organizational Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing software engineering organization in Morocco.

• Recruit and retain engineers with expertise in AI, full-stack development, application infrastructure, developer tooling, and UI frameworks.

• Provide clear goals, ongoing feedback, coaching, career development, performance management, and succession planning.

• Establish an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative engineering culture.

• Develop technical leaders and create growth opportunities for engineers at different career stages.

• Manage engineers who have dotted-line delivery relationships with functional and domain leaders.

• Partner with domain leaders to define assignments, priorities, deliverables, staffing needs, and performance expectations.

• Build trusted relationships with Oracle industry teams and other partner organizations.

• Represent the Morocco engineering organization in planning, architecture, delivery, and operational reviews.

• Provide technical direction and engineering oversight across AI-enabled applications, full-stack services, application infrastructure, UI frameworks, and developer platforms.

• Balance rapid experimentation with the engineering rigor required for enterprise-grade Oracle services.

• Adapt quickly as business priorities, management direction, customer needs, and AI technologies evolve.

Candidate Experience Requirements

Required Experience

• Strong full-stack development expertise, including modern front-end technologies, service development, APIs, data integration, and cloud-based application architectures.

• Experience hiring, developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing engineers.

• Demonstrated success managing teams in a matrixed organization with shared accountability across functional and delivery leaders.

• Experience delivering enterprise software, cloud services, developer platforms, frameworks, or shared engineering capabilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical and organizational issues clearly.

• Experience establishing engineering standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Experience

• Experience building AI-enabled products, agentic systems, generative AI platforms, or AI-assisted developer tools.

• Knowledge of large language models, agent orchestration, prompt and context management, model evaluation, AI guardrails, feedback systems, and AI observability.

• Experience creating reusable SDKs, frameworks, APIs, development tools, or internal engineering platforms.

• Experience managing geographically distributed or multicultural engineering teams.

• Knowledge of service management, site reliability engineering, incident management, and operational readiness practices.

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
