Senior Maintenance Engineer

Job Purpose

A Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the implementation of daily/tactical maintenance activities aimed at maximizing equipment availability and reducing maintenance costs throughout the facility.

Main Scope/Responsibilities

* Develop & Implement reliability-based standards and policies.
* Providing assistance with managing significant reactive work when requested.
* Function as a site Subject Matter Expert (SME) on technical aspects for equipment, personnel skills and maintenance processes
* Advance the development and deployment of maintenance practices and procedures, such as; technical specifications, precision maintenance standards, precision lubrication practices, PdM optimization, etc.
* Be able to scope work/projects, bidding activities, managing work execution and contractor(s), job safety, cost management and coordination with other plant activities for both expense and area capital projects.
* Leveraging an understanding of CMMS, predictive and preventive maintenance and materials management process
* Possessing department-specific understanding of process and equipment.
* Leaded in development and prioritization the 5-year capital plan process
* Investigate mechanical and/or electrical equipment failures and develop potential solutions based on sound mechanical/electrical practices
* Support Reliability Engineering with preventative/proactive maintenance initiatives
* Assist production and/or project engineering with inefficiencies/process improvement opportunities for area of responsibility
* Support Reliability Engineering with preventative/proactive maintenance initiatives
* Attend RD/DD area core team meeting as necessary
* Participate in post RD/DD critiques as necessary Participate in the management of the execution phase R/D and TAR
* Identify material and equipment upgrade opportunities and operational process changes to reduce failures/ enhance reliability and improve asset health
* Assist supervision & craftsman as needed to ensure applicable procedures are followed
* Additional duties as assigned

Education

* State engineer from public engineering schools

Global Experience

* 7 to 9 years of relevant experience in maintenance

Specific Experience In The Position

* At least 7 years of maintenance experience in relevant industry.
