🎯 About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and autonomous Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python to join a fast-paced startup working on a platform involving 3D modeling and advanced R&D topics.

This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and data engineering, working closely with the CTO and the Data Science team to design and maintain robust data pipelines in Python.

🕒 Availability: Immediate or in one month max

🧠 What you’ll do:

You will design and evolve a modular document processing pipeline composed of services covering:

● Ingestion & preprocessing: document intake, metadata storage (PostgreSQL)

● Classification & OCR: page classification and text extraction (incl. containerized OCR services)

● Information extraction: configurable services to produce structured data

● Indexing & admin services: search (OpenSearch) and data transformation / internal APIs

● AI tooling: annotation workflows and metrics tracking (Label Studio, MLflow)

Across these modules, you will:

● Build and scale Python microservices (FastAPI, async) and data pipelines (batch & real-time)

● Implement event-driven communication (RabbitMQ)

● Manage data storage and flows (PostgreSQL, object storage)

● Ensure reliability (testing, monitoring, logging, performance)

● Contribute to architecture decisions (scalability, modularity)

● Develop internal automations when relevant (e.g., N8N)

✅ What we’re looking for:

4 years of experience in backend development with Python

● Strong experience in Python (FastAPI, AsyncIO, Pydantic)

● Microservices & Event-Driven Architecture (RabbitMQ, HTTP APIs)

● Experience building async microservices and event-driven systems (RabbitMQ), with API integrations (httpx / aiohttp).

● Data & Storage (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, S3/MinIO)

● Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (SQLAlchemy async, asyncpg, Alembic) and object storage (S3 / MinIO). 

● Basic knowledge/experience of the NET stack and ecosystem

Technical Stack / Nice to have

● Search & Observability (OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana)

Exposure with OpenSearch and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

● DevOps & Security (Docker, CI/CD, Vault, Tenacity)

Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, HashiCorp Vault, and resilience practices (retry strategies like Tenacity).

● AI & Data Ecosystem (MLflow, Label Studio, OCR/LLM tools)

Exposure to MLflow, Label Studio, and document/ML tooling (OCR libraries, pandas/numpy, or LLM frameworks).

● No code & Automation (N8N)

Familiarity with no-code automation tools, enabling rapid deployment of workflows and process automation (N8N)
