We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core of our platform.

You will own the APIs and real-time services that connect POS systems, kitchens, and back-office operations across multiple stores. You will contribute to architectural decisions, ensure high performance and system stability, and help us scale our SaaS platform efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

• Develop and optimize real-time order flows between POS, KDS, and back-office using Socket.IO.

• Model, optimize, and maintain data across SQL and MongoDB databases.

• Build asynchronous/background processing systems with Redis and Bull queues.

• Manage deployments and infrastructure using Docker and Docker Compose.

• Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, messaging, invoicing systems, and hardware devices (receipt printers, etc.).

• Drive the design of multi-store and multi-tenant SaaS architectures.

• Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, and system performance.

• Review code, mentor engineers, and establish backend development standards.

• Take ownership of features from design to production and ongoing maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems.

• Strong expertise in Node.js and Express.js.

• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (SQL), including:

• Schema design

• Joins and query optimization

• Performance tuning

• Strong experience with MongoDB and Mongoose, including:

• Schema design

• Indexing

• Aggregation pipelines

• Performance optimization

• Hands-on experience with real-time systems using WebSockets / Socket.IO.

• Experience with Redis and queue/job processing systems such as Bull.

• Comfortable deploying and operating services in production with Docker.

• Strong understanding of authentication and security mechanisms (JWT, sessions, API keys).

• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS architectures.

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently drive projects to completion.
