Job Purpose
The Sales / Business Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, promoting technical products, and building strong customer relationships. The role focuses on fireproof doors and related industrial products, supporting project requirements from enquiry to order confirmation.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote fireproof doors and other industrial products to clients and contractors.
* Identify and develop new sales opportunities in target markets.
* Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and end users.
* Understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
* Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical submissions.
* Follow up on enquiries, tenders, and project leads.
* Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for pricing and delivery.
* Meet sales targets and support business growth.
* Monitor market trends, competitors, and upcoming projects.
Qualifications & Skills
* 5 years of experience in sales or business development.
* Engineering degree is required.
* Experience in fireproof doors, construction materials, or industrial products is preferred.
* Good exposure to contractors, consultants, and project-based sales.
* Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Good technical understanding with ability to read drawings and specifications.
* Customer-focused, result-driven, with knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
