Journey Beyond Travel (JBT) is Morocco’s leading boutique travel company — owned and managed by award-winning author and photographer Lucas Peters. We craft authentic, sustainable journeys that connect travelers deeply with place and people.

In 2026, we’re expanding into long-form digital storytelling — launching a YouTube and podcast series featuring Morocco’s landscapes, people, and cultural richness. Think: Rick Steves meets documentary craft — visually beautiful, intellectually rich, and emotionally resonant.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Producer/Editor hybrid who can bring stories to life from concept through final edit. This role blends creative production, hands-on editing, and light project management.

You’ll work closely with Lucas to plan shoots, coordinate freelance crews, edit episodes, and ensure each piece reflects the warmth, curiosity, and care that define Journey Beyond Travel.

Responsibilities

Production & Coordination

• Manage the content calendar (episodes, interviews, release schedule).

• Organize logistics for on-location shoots (crew coordination, permits, transport).

• Maintain production budget and ensure delivery on time and on brand.

Editing & Post-Production

• Edit long-form videos (20–45 minutes) in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.

• Create shorter cuts (2–5 minutes) for email, website, and social channels.

• Handle color grading, audio leveling, transitions, and storytelling rhythm.

• Design intro/outro sequences and graphics (basic motion titles or coordinate with designer).

• Deliver finished episodes ready for upload to YouTube (and later, podcast platforms).

Distribution & Analytics

• Upload and manage videos on YouTube with optimized titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.

• Track analytics (views, watch time, click-throughs) and summarize insights monthly.

• Collaborate with marketing assistant to embed videos into newsletters and JBT’s CRM funnel.

Creative Development

• Participate in brainstorming sessions — pitch story ideas, locations, or interview subjects.

• Help maintain tone and visual consistency across all episodes.

Requirements

• Strong video editing background (Premiere, DaVinci, or Final Cut).

• Basic motion graphics or comfort working with templates (After Effects or Canva).

• Experience coordinating shoots or managing small creative projects.

• Fluent in English; French and/or Moroccan Arabic a major plus.

• Good eye for pacing, narrative, and sound design.

• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working with a high standard of storytelling.

• Interest in travel, culture, or Morocco’s diverse landscapes is a big advantage.
