The College of Computing at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is offering four fully funded PhD positions in the research group of Prof. Hamza Keurti. The group works on structure and compositionality in representation learning — developing models whose learned representations reflect the underlying structure of data and interaction.

Available positions:

• Algebraic Structure Considerations in Representation Learning — investigating how algebraic and group structure shapes learned representations.

• Algebraic Structure Considerations in the Learning of Dynamical Systems Representations — extending structured representation learning to time-evolving systems.

• Structured Representation Learning for and from Reinforcement Learning — connecting structured representations with agents that learn through interaction.

• Machine Learning Models for Improved Car Audio NVH Performance Assessment — an applied, industry-facing project in partnership with Stellantis and INSA Lyon.

Candidate profile:

• A Master's degree (or equivalent) in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.

• Strong mathematical and programming skills.

• Motivation to pursue fundamental and applied research in representation learning.
