Who We Are
At Valeo, our maintenance teams keep the heart of production beating. We work with advanced industrial equipment, fast-paced manufacturing, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
If you like solving problems, improving systems, and keeping things running smoothly (even when the machines decide otherwise), this role is for you.
Your Mission
As a Maintenance Technician, you will contribute to the performance, reliability, and safety of our production equipment. You will support daily operations, take part in new equipment industrialization, and help drive continuous improvement across the site.
Your Responsibilities
1. Safety & Environment
- Build and promote a strong safety culture across the team.
- Detect deviations and react immediately to keep operations safe.
- Lead Safety QRQC and follow up on actions.
- Evaluate the environmental impact of equipment and integrate safety/LLC into design.
- Ensure compliance with all Valeo, local, and Group standards.
(Machines are replaceable. People aren’t — that’s why safety comes first.)
2. People & Skills
- Develop technical expertise within the team.
- Support skill transfer, training, and long-term workforce planning.
- Help create a stable team atmosphere and reduce turnover.
- Provide support to partner teams in the Mother/Daughter line relationship.
3. Industrialization
- Support engineers and technicians during the introduction of new equipment.
- Ensure VSDP and IPROM standards are correctly applied.
- Participate in IAR preparation and ensure feedback loops back to design.
- Work closely with process teams to guarantee robust industrialization.
4. Maintenance Operations
- Manage maintenance activities to reduce MTTR and increase MTBF & TRP.
- Contribute to the maintenance budget (labor, overheads, spare parts).
- Drive productivity actions (P-30).
- Deploy ERIM/TPM across the perimeter.
- Update technical documentation, work instructions, and spare parts lists.
- Ensure equipment FMEAs are created and maintained.
(Yes, the spare parts list should always be up to date — future you will thank you.)
5. Continuous Improvement
- Observe micro-stoppages and collect measurements to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain an active improvement proposal system.
- Contribute to risk reduction for safety and environment.
- Lead Maintenance-related PDCA, FTA, and 5 WHYs.
- Prepare LLC and Kaizen cards.
- Take part in budget preparation and propose organizational improvements.
- Promote the Valeo 5 Axes and help reach V5000 targets.
What We Expect From You
- A hands-on mindset and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Good communication and teamwork — you won’t be working alone.
- Respect for safety rules and attention to detail.
- Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure when needed.
What You Can Expect From Us
- Strong technical support and training.
- A team that shares knowledge (and occasionally tools).
- Exposure to high-technology equipment and improvement projects.
- Opportunities to grow your skills and evolve in your career.
What we are looking for 🫵
- More than two years of experience in the automotive industry.
