About the Role
This role exists to safeguard the quality and accuracy of training delivery for Arabic-speaking participants. Acting as the linguistic bridge between instructors and learners, the Interpreter ensures effective knowledge transfer across classroom-based and hands-on training environments, preserving technical meaning and context with precision.
Working alongside training staff and client representatives, this position involves interpretation, translation, and direct participation in scenario-based learning exercises. Success in this role means all training groups receive a consistent quality experience regardless of language, with client-facing communication handled professionally, discreetly, and with cultural sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic during classroom instruction and practical training, maintaining technical and contextual precision throughout.
- Translate training materials, supporting documentation, and curricula between English and Arabic, ensuring accuracy of terminology and original intent.
- Support client meetings and stakeholder engagements with professional interpretation, maintaining confidentiality and appropriate communication standards.
- Take part in assigned role-play exercises within training scenarios, contributing to realistic and effective learning outcomes.
- Handle translation of written correspondence and documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a professional tone across communications.
Basic Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English, with demonstrated professional proficiency in both spoken and written communication.
- Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation within technical, professional, training, or high-stakes operational settings.
- A formal qualification in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or a related field (Bachelor's degree or equivalent).
- Experience translating technical, instructional, or specialist content with strong attention to contextual and linguistic accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification from a recognised interpretation or translation body (e.g., CIOL, ITI, or equivalent).
- Prior experience supporting bilingual, scenario-based learning, simulations, or training environments.
- Familiarity with the cultural and operational context of the Gulf region, particularly in client-facing or institutional settings.
