Job Responsibilities

Job Description Summary:

Ensure compliance with OEM specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Oversee the design and development of automotive seat covers, from concept to production.

Drive innovation in materials, stitching techniques, and ergonomic design.

Supervise prototyping, material selection, and validation testing.

Collaborate with Quality, and Production teams to improve product performance and manufacturability.

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team Equipment, process, and product engineers.

Plan workloads, set objectives, and monitor performance.

Foster teamwork, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Support training and skill development programs for engineers and technicians.

Oversee the industrialization process (tooling, cutting, sewing, assembly).

Implement Lean Manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.

Promote the use of sustainable materials and cost reduction strategies.

Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis for production issues.

Required Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in automotive interiors or seat cover manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of materials (leather, fabric, foam), cutting/sewing processes, and CAD tools.

Proven experience in team leadership and project management.

Familiarity with automotive quality systems (IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, FMEA).

Good communication skills in English and French.
