COFICAB is hiring an EHS Technician

Job purpose :

Leading and implementing a proactive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) program. This includes risk assessments, safety audits, accident/incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations. The objective is to reduce workplace risks, prevent incidents, and promote a strong and sustainable safety culture across the organization

Main responsibilities :

• Identifies potential industrial security hazards, Performs Job Safety analysis and Personnel Protective Equipment hazard assessment and develops containment and preventive action plans to control risk situations and eliminates deviations.

• Conducts occupational accident, incident & injury root causes analysis, develops corrective/preventive action plans and follows up its progress, effectiveness and efficiency to decrease accident and injury rate. Develops and updates emergency and disaster plans and safety procedures.

• Assure the measurement of atmospheric emission, waste water and noisy, follow up the efficacy of the action plan.

-Conducts building and plant’s assets safety audits, tracks audit findings closure and evaluates effectiveness of safety programs to ensure its compliance with regulations.

-Conducts training sessions and provides coaching for employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors to enhance environment & hygiene awareness. Supports in developing visual aids, flyers, health and safety tips and documents.

Educational Background:

• Bac+2 or Bachelor’s degree in EHS or equivalent

Required Experience :

• 1 to 5 years experience in a similar position.

Functional and Technical Competencies :

• EHS regulations and compliance standards (local and international),Risk assessment and hazard identification skills,Accident, incident, and root cause analysis methodology,Emergency response planning,Environmental monitoring,EHS management systems,Safety audits and corrective/preventive action tracking.

Behavioral Competencies :

Communication, Building Relationships, Self Development, Managing Performance, Personal Effectiveness, Business Skills .

Good level in french is mendatory
