Distribution & Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Distribution Manager Larache oversees the operations of receiving, cooling and shipping the fruit, the manufacturing processes involved and the execution of the packaging plan to guarantee full availability.

The role includes optimizing cold chain quality while meeting customer service commitments, ensuring comprehensive safety programs, managing key aspects of distribution center relationships including Growers and Local Authorities, and achieving continuous improvement of operating efficiencies. The Distribution Manager Larache plays a critical role in our pursue to increase reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work in close collaboration with the S&OP team to define capacity requirements in terms of facilities and activities. Drive initiatives to solve capacity constraints.
* Oversee the production processes to ensure high-quality output and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
* Oversee warehousing activities, including inventory management, storage, and order fulfillment.
* Implement best practices to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
* Oversee the maintenance of all production and warehousing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
* Oversee the storage of packaging materials and the packaging process to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
* Lead and mentor a team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and manage budgets for production, warehousing, and packaging operations.
* Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
* Track key performance indicators (safety, quality, customer service, cost, engagement and sustainability) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
* Partner with the Lean Distribution team to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety standards, labor laws, and environmental guidelines.
* Develop contingency plans for managing significant supply and demand disruption events.
* Partner with commercial organization to support development of new business models.
* Serve as liaison with all internal and external partners for strategic and tactical activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & training

* Bachelor degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Advanced level of English.

Experience

* At least 8 years as Site Operations Manager, in manufacturing environments
* Experience in managing large teams
* Experience leading transformational projects
