Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and network systems within enterprise datacenter environments. The role involves hands-on work with servers, storage, networking equipment, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) as per design guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of hardware and network fundamentals, and the ability to work in coordination with project teams and customers to ensure smooth delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Deployment & Verification

* Verify all hardware components match specifications and quantities as per purchase orders.
* Perform visual inspections of hardware for damages or defects.
* Rack and stack hardware in accordance with design documents.
* Power on and test all hardware components to ensure operational status.
* Perform necessary hardware hardening as per design/security guidelines.
* Label all required cables and devices for proper identification.
* Document all hardware in asset databases and maintain inventory records.

Network & Connectivity

* Establish physical connectivity of devices as per design.
* Build and implement Cisco networks for multiple environments across terminals.
* Configure basic device settings (hostname, IP addresses, SNMP, logging) on core and distribution networks.
* Create and configure VLANs, restore switch configurations, and assign ports to VLANs.
* Configure routing protocols as required.
* Capture OT switch details and LTE connectivity details as per customer guidance.

Compute & Virtualization Support

* Provide hands-and-feet support during build and implementation of HCI clusters.
* Assist with applying updated security patches relevant to the product release.
* Support network configuration activities related to compute platform builds in coordination with customer teams.

Support & Documentation

* Provide on-site “hands and feet” support for project teams during deployments and implementations.
* Record all Configuration Items (CIs) and share with Service Delivery & Integration (SD&I) team for CMDB updates.
* Ensure compliance with project guidelines, security, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors to ensure successful delivery.
