Position Summary

As a Cutting Leader, you will be responsible for organizing, supervising, and optimizing all cutting room activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved. You will coordinate the cutting team while ensuring optimal fabric utilization and compliance with the technical requirements of lingerie production.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Organize and supervise daily cutting operations according to the production plan.

• Allocate work to cutting operators and monitor productivity.

• Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are met.

• Coordinate fabric spreading, cutting, bundling, and identification activities.

Quality & Technical Control

• Verify cutting quality in accordance with technical specifications and customer requirements.

• Ensure marker compliance and optimize fabric consumption.

• Monitor shade control, fabric defects, and cutting accuracy.

• Work closely with the Quality Department to resolve cutting-related issues.

• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor cutting room KPIs (efficiency, productivity, waste rate, fabric utilization).

• Identify improvement opportunities to reduce fabric waste and increase efficiency.

• Ensure cutting equipment is properly maintained and report any technical issues.

• Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles within the cutting department.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Planning, Industrial Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, and Production departments to ensure smooth workflow.

• Participate in production meetings and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Profile Required

Education

• Engineering degree from ESITH (École Supérieure des Industries du Textile et de l'Habillement) – Preferred.

• Alternatively, Bac+5 in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience experience in the lingerie, intimate apparel, or seamless garment industry is highly desirable.

• Previous exposure to cutting room operations is required.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.

• Understanding of cutting room organization and fabric optimization.

• Knowledge of markers, fabric spreading, cutting, and bundling processes.

• Familiarity with automatic cutting systems (Gerber, Lectra, Bullmer, Morgan Tecnica, etc.) is an advantage.

• Good command of Microsoft Excel and production reporting.

• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
