Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers at Mukonda Eventos is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers across various events and initiatives. This role includes planning volunteer needs for upcoming events, coordinating schedules, and assigning roles to ensure smooth operations. The coordinator will provide ongoing guidance and training to volunteers, respond to questions, and maintain clear communication before, during, and after events. Day-to-day tasks involve managing volunteer databases, updating documentation, collaborating with event organizers, and supporting community outreach activities to attract and retain volunteers. The coordinator will also track participation, gather feedback, and help improve volunteer programs in alignment with Mukonda Eventos’ goals.
Qualifications

• Strong Volunteer Management skills, including organizing schedules, coordinating roles, and maintaining volunteer records.

• Experience with Volunteer Training, including onboarding, instruction, and ongoing support for diverse volunteer teams.

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities, with a focus on clear, respectful, and inclusive collaboration.

• Background in Community Outreach, engaging with community groups and networks to recruit and retain volunteers.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and use digital tools (e.g., email, online collaboration platforms, spreadsheets).

• Prior experience in event coordination, nonprofit, or community-based initiatives is beneficial.

• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in working with volunteers and community members.
