Global Mission:

•The Chief Vehicle Engineer is accountable for the achievement of all the project targets for Quality, Costs, Timing and Performances on which he/she commits at Contract Milestone, until their achievement and handover to Serial life. And he leads the team who is responsible for achieving these project objectives.

•The CVE leads the team responsible for achieving these project objectives and is empowered by all Functions to take relevant decisions to achieve them within the frame of the group DOA.

•The CVE has the responsibility to escalate at the highest level of the Company any major risk or deviation versus Contract Milestone content, when arbitration cannot be achieved within the project team.

•As Program CVE, the global mission covers the various projects (tophats) included in the program.

Responsibilities:

* Consolidates the project requirements and leads the project scope definition with customers’ expectation and with the project targets.
* Builds the project team for the best operational efficiency and ensures its motivation and coaching / training.
* Organizes the project / program and the management of its quality / costs / timing / performances so as to reach the project / program targets.
* Addresses the various needs, concerns and expectations of the stakeholders in planning and executing the project / program.
* Manages the stakeholders towards meeting project requirements including confidentiality, and ensures all development processes are executed according to targets in Architecture&Style, Design, Product&Process Validation, Industrial&Launch phases
* Balances the competing project constraints which include Brand, product, styling, carry-over, complexity, quality, schedule, budget and resources for decision in the best interest of Stellantis. In a program, ensures the carry over perimeter between the various tophats of the program.
* Communicates to all stakeholders the project situation according to specified reporting / communication processes, and builds action plans (negotiation, …) for alignment of the stakeholders and settlement of potential conflicts.
* Manages the project Risks & Opportunities and ensure their mitigation or application.
* Ensures the global consistency of project development deliverables and launch with other contributing Projects (Propulsion, Modules, Platform, Software) and Advanced Engineering.
* After commercial launch, ensures the treatment of the questions about quality detected in the customer field and in the plant.
* Validates the content of the handover to serial life and commits with the Serial life & Industrial teams to the capacity to close all open items.

Must-Have Skills

* In-depth field experience regarding supply chain processes, related costs, Quality,Timing and Performance.
* Ability to optimize supply chain processes for maximum efficiency.
* Uncompromising ability to investigate and challenge technical and financial data.
* A results-driven business mindset, capable of making well-supported suggestions.
* Fluency in English and local language(s).
