Job Summary
Twyford is an established international building materials manufacturer with long-term operational experience across Africa. The company owns production bases in nine African countries as well as in Peru, maintaining a stable global manufacturing and supply system. We are now seeking an experienced premium showroom store manager for our flagship showroom located in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. This is a key leadership opportunity tailored for professionals with solid high-end retail management backgrounds. You will take charge of the full showroom operation, covering visual merchandising, team leadership, sales strategy formulation, and high-value client relationship management. We prioritise candidates who have worked within standardised formal retail chains, specialising in building materials, floor tiles, and sanitaryware. You will bring mature retail management expertise to our fast-growing Ghanaian market and play a core role in expanding Twyford’s local market influence.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily showroom operations and consistently deliver premium customer experiences aligned with international brand standards.
* Design and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, profit margins, and customer satisfaction metrics.
* Recruit, train, coach, and motivate sales and support teams, building a professional working culture with strong product expertise.
* Maintain high-standard visual merchandising, product display arrangement, and overall showroom hygiene.
* Develop long-term cooperative relationships with architects, contractors, real estate developers, and key institutional clients.
* Analyse sales data and local market trends to support inventory planning and commercial decision-making.
* Manage after-sales procedures, including custom orders, delivery coordination, and customer feedback optimisation.
* Strictly comply with company regulations, operational procedures, and workplace health & safety policies.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ formal retail management experience within large-scale building material or home improvement retail chains.
* Candidates with systematic internal training experience from reputable retail brands are preferred, with clear understanding of standardised sales workflows, customer service systems, and store management logic.
* Proven capabilities in sales team leadership, personnel training, and performance assessment management.
* Solid knowledge of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, inventory control, and profit margin management.
* Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to develop stable long-term client partnerships.
* Strong adaptability to overseas working environments; previous African work or relocation experience is a significant advantage.
