Bookseller – Bilingual (English & French) | Rabat

We are a bilingual independent bookstore in Rabat seeking a passionate Bookseller to join our team on the shop floor. This is a frontline, reader-facing role with no management responsibilities — ideal for someone who genuinely loves books and wants to spend their days talking about them.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Curating thematic displays and maintaining a cohesive selection across our English and French collections.

• Welcoming customers and providing personalised book recommendations in both languages.

• Supporting author events, signings, and in-store programming.

• Handling daily opening and closing procedures, till operations, deliveries, and inventory management.

What we're looking for:

• A genuine passion for contemporary fiction, particularly popular genres in the English and French markets (Romance, Fantasy, Literary Fiction). Familiarity with recent releases from 2022 to 2024 is a strong asset.

• Fluency in both English and French (C2 level in both).

• Availability on Saturdays, our highest-traffic day or Sundays.

• Based in or near Rabat.

This is a hands-on bookselling position. We are looking for our second team member — someone who is excited about the day-to-day of retail bookselling, not a step back from a senior or management career.
