Role Description The Bookkeeper at Marabes Group will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording income and expenses, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and supporting the production of monthly and year-end financial reports. The role will also involve working with accounting software to update records, track payments, and assist with audits or internal reviews. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance with internal policies, and timely reporting. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nador.

Qualifications

  • Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate recording of daily transactions and maintaining organized financial records.

  • Ability to prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to support internal reporting and decision-making.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and related digital tools for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.

  • Solid understanding of finance principles and experience posting and reviewing journal entries (accounting).

  • Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to work with confidential financial information responsibly.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a professional setting.

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting; a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Ability to work on-site in Tangier, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
