Solenis is seeking an experienced Applications Specialist to support growth of our product portfolio across key mining segments, including Precious Metals (Gold, Silver), Base Metals(Copper, Nickel), and/or Phosphate Rock.

This customer-facing technical role provides hands-on applications expertise and technical sales support, working closely with Sales, Business Development, R&D, and Equipment teams to solve complex customer challenges and support new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical applications support to customers, sales teams, and partners throughout the sales process

  • Deliver on-site and multi-site technical support, including applications testing and troubleshooting

  • Support the development, validation, and commercialisation of new and existing solutions

  • Prepare customer technical reports, trial proposals, and support commercial proposals

  • Primary technical focus on solid–liquid separation, process water treatment, scale inhibition, defoamers, grinding aids, and filter aids

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a technical or scientific discipline

  • 10+ years’ experience in mining processes, with strong expertise in solid–liquid separation and process water conditioning

  • Experience with mining and heavy industry chemical treatment applications

  • Familiarity with utilities water treatment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Location: Zambia, South Africa or any country within the Copperbelt
