Accounting Specialist (Fixed Term )

ProductLife Group is looking for an Accounting Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our growing Finance team.
This position plays a key role in managing complex financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger operations. The Accounting Specialist ensures accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and supporting audit activities and internal projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze complex financial reports and records
* Review journal entries and financial data to ensure accuracy
* Prepare and maintain the general ledger and tax returns
* Perform variance analyses and reconciliations
* Assist in financial and tax audits
* Document and monitor internal controls
* Support audit teams and prepare audit-ready documentation
* Train and mentor junior accounting staff
* Coordinate complex accounting projects with the finance team and other departments
* Analyze the impact of financial transactions on account structures
* Recommend process and control improvements
* Ensure systems are in place for accurate management reporting
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* Master’s degree in Accountancy preferred
* CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
* Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting
* Fluent in French and English
* Solid understanding of accounting principles, controls, and reporting standards
Technical Skills
* Strong experience in financial analysis, tax reporting, and audit preparation
* Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems
* Advanced knowledge of internal control frameworks
* Strong data accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage and monitor accounting systems and suggest improvements
* Capacity to coordinate with cross-functional teams on financial projects
