About The Role & Team
The Account Representative is responsible for driving profitable growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing business opportunities within designated customer accounts. This role focuses on developing strong client relationships, expanding existing business, and contributing to sustainable revenue growth.
What You Will Do
Sales & Business Development
* Drive all sales activities in line with short- and long-term objectives.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
* Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline in collaboration with Marketing for demand generation.
* Ensure qualified marketing leads are converted into sales-accepted leads.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts.
Account Management & Customer Engagement
* Own and manage assigned customer accounts with full commercial accountability.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as a trusted advisor.
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Develop a deep understanding of customer business needs to identify growth opportunities.
* Provide meaningful insights during customer conversations, aligning them with customer priorities and adding value to their strategic discussions.
* Link customer business priorities to SITA’s value proposition through clear and effective communication.
* Understand stakeholder influence and facilitate alignment among key decision-makers.
Commercial & Operational Excellence
* Ensure all customer requests are addressed and services are delivered according to agreed schedules.
* Maintain visibility over commercial delivery and operational aspects of accounts.
* Drive issue resolution through relevant process owners.
* Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
* Support cash collection activities by resolving commercial issues that may impact payment timelines.
Market & Industry Awareness
* Monitor and communicate key economic drivers and market trends internally to support business adaptation.
* Share relevant industry and economic insights with customers to uncover additional business opportunities.
* Maintain awareness of competitor offerings and positioning within the market.
Experience
Who You Are
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the aviation, travel, or IT sector.
* Experience building and managing client relationships at a managerial level.
* Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Demonstrated experience in business development and pipeline management.
* Experience executing account development plans.
* Positive and proactive customer service experience.
Knowledge & Skills
* Good understanding of B2B IT business models and the aviation industry landscape.
* Strong sales capabilities, including negotiation and consultative selling.
* Familiarity with key business metrics and value drivers.
* Awareness of regional or sector-specific business dynamics.
* Ability to understand client needs and build compelling value propositions.
* Good understanding of competitor business models and market positioning.
* Solid account planning and account management methodology skills.
* Strong financial and commercial acumen.
* Working knowledge of contract structures and the legal environment.
Education & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice-to-Have
* Experience working within the IT, aviation or air transport industry ecosystem.
