Job Description

The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer with proven experience in automotive interior lighting. They should be capable of delivering high-quality 3D and 2D designs while working remotely within a structured workflow

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field. Previous experience in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment is preferred. Experience with lighting components, optical integration, or interior modules is considered a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

* CATIA V5 expertise with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in interior lighting design.
* Strong understanding of plastic part design, packaging constraints, and integration of lighting components.
* Familiarity with VW Group processes and standards (preferred).
* Experience with CONNECT (VW Group PLM tool) is a strong plus.
* Ability to manage CAD data, revisions, and design documentation in a PLM environment

Soft Skills

* Strong communication skills, especially in a remote work context.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Component Owners, Project Leads, QA).
* Problem-solving mindset with good organizational skills.
* Adaptability and willingness to work with new tools, workflows, and design standards
